Apply an image filter adjustment layer to change the color while keeping the original image. Open the image in Photoshop. Then click the Adjustment Layer icon in the Layers panel and select Photo Filter.

Tip: You can use photo filters directly as adjustments (Image > Adjustments > Photo Filters). But using it as an adjustment layer is more flexible, as it allows you to adjust photo filter settings, provides a layer mask that affects only one part of the image, and protects you from directly modifying the original image.

Use the resolution slider to adjust the intensity of the image filter. When you check Preserve Brightness, the brightness of the image remains the same despite the color change.

Tip: Save your image as a PSD or TIFF file to adjust the image filter settings later. These file formats allow you to save a copy in another format, such as JPEG or PNG.
